Multi province police pursuit ends in Salmon Arm

The Southeast District Traffic Services helped bring a vehicle pursuit across two provinces to an end.
Members of the Revelstoke and Sicamous RCMP detachments, as well as the Southeast District Traffic Services were able to safely apprehend a motorist that had fled a traffic stop in Banff.
The driver was arrested and taken into custody at 9:15 pm on Wednesday night. The 57 year old man from Saskatchewan had ditched his vehicle on a logging road near Canoe and was located by the Salmon Arm RCMP and Police Dog Service.
The driver remains in police custody as police continue to investigate the incident.
