Industrial accident leaves man critically injured

KAMLOOPS — WorkSafe BC and the Kamloops RCMP have launched a joint investigation, after a construction worker was seriously injured yesterday.

According to RCMP, a man working for Grier Spray Foam, a Burnaby Insulation Company fell six metres, or twenty feet from a scissor lift to the concrete floor from a building in the CityView shopping centre.

The 45-year old man from Vancouver, was taken to Royal Inland Hospital with critical injuries.

WorkSafe BC prevention officers are onsite conducting an investigation alongside the RCMP.
