ASK Wellness lobbying for storage lockers for the homeless

ASK Wellness in Kamloops is lobbying for a storage facility for the City’s vulnerable population. The idea is based on a concept run by First United Church in Vancouver’s downtown east side. They have 200 storage spaces, 150 for plastic bins and 50 spaces for carts and luggage. Ken Salter with Ask Wellness says a similar space in Kamloops is needed. Salter says storage shelters could also remove the barriers for those in need of services such as housing.
