Coquihalla Highway Chaos

The Coquihalla is now fully re-opened between Merritt and hope following a day of colissions spread across a vast area. Southbound traffic starting flowing again mid-afternoon, but Northbound traffic did not open again until just after 11pm Monday. 
 

So fa there has been no word on any injuries.

RCMP Southeast District tweeted at 11:50am that the highway would be closed for most of the day.

 

According to Environment Canada the Coquihalla between Hope and Merritt is expecting 15cm-25cm over the next 24-36 hours, with less falling on the section between Merritt and Kamloops.
