Lillooet Man Launches Family Day Facebook Search

A Lillooet man has turned to Facebook as he searches for his long lost daughter, a girl he gave up for adoption 24 years ago. After attempts to find his daughter through legal avenues failed, Shayne Higgins has taken to social media. He doesn’t know his daughter’s name, or who her adoptive parents are, but he suspects she is in BC. Higgins posted a picture of his infant daughter, and a written plea, to Facebook on Monday, Family Day. In the 24 hours since then, it has been shared more than 2,500 times. He hopes these efforts will reconnect him with his daughter.
