Rookie shines, but Blazers start season 0-and-2

The Blazers have started the new Western Hockey League season with two straight losses to the Kelowna Rockets, dropping a 7-3 decision in Saturday night’s home-opener.

Tyson Baillie had two goals and an assist for the Rockets. Rookie Garrett Pilon led the Blazers with two goals and an assist in the loss. Kamloops’ second line of Pilon, Jesse Zaharichuk, and Jake Kryski combined for 6 points.
